Military began revenge against Paanama people on 15 July night

Paanama people at Raagamwela and Shastrawela attempted to  resettle in their own lands yesterday (on 15th) which police blocked their effort claiming the difficulty to provide them the security in those villages. Police assured the accelerate the land clearance process which people trusted and listened.
However, it was proved again there is no security guaranteed in our country with what Paanama people experienced last night when they get back to their places. Some military group which people are scared to reveal with well known reasons have come to Paanama village and destroyed the nets in one incident.
And the other was also happened last night when Fishermen were in fishing Paanama lagoon there was an armed group chased the 5 lagoon fishermen away and threatening not to allow fishing in Paanama lagoon any more.
Now the problem is What is the security Paanama people have to live even without going to their own lands with the advice of the police. It is a big risk as the military began the revenge.
We need to.ask from the President and care taker government where is the security assured when they campaign for Presidential election.
The below photographs shows the fisherman who lost his nets and the other picture is tha Paanama lagoon where people werd chased away from lagoon.

The affected fisher people have complained to the Paanama police and at the same time to the District Fisheries Extension Officer(DFEO) of the area for a solution. People are fear that if this will continue they will fall in to further down of their life with loss of livelihood.

One fishermen, like to keep anonymous said, "this is really unbearable situation. We thought the oppressive regime was defeated on 8th January. Unless government take any action to resolve this situation we pin point government is behind all these adversaries come to us."

We agree with the Paanama people who are affected and urge government investigate the incident and take stern actions against the culprit involved without delay. Unless the people will label the current govt also no difference with previous regime. It is our emphasis present govt should prove that they are not operating oppressive as previous government did with bringing culprits to the court and taking legal actions.
