NAFSO and Northern Province Fisher People's Union conduct district planning meetings with district representatives in 4 coastal districts in northern province in order to prepare provincial level fishefies development plan.
Today my colleague Antony Jesudasan attended the Kilinochchi district meeting in which 40 fisher leaders attended the session. It is very encouragibg that the fisher people in Kilinochchi took part the session fully and emerged their issues and related solutions for them.
Antony Jesudasan told me over the phone, "It may be because the oppression in the past people did not open their mouth. But now situation has changed and people are adticulate their issues strongly."
We are experiencing the difference of the change of the regime and people are ready to come up for plan for future.
