The preamble of the report presented to the CC by Nadine Orchid, the Co-chair of the WFFP Says so. This is the basic understanding what emerged as concept of the Ocean Grabbing.
In addition to Nadine, Mads Babedgaskar of Afrikan Kontact who served as the resource person to the WG said "What we need to do is to bring the knowledge and experiences into the process of coordinated action until GA7. This will strengthen the member organisations which are fighting against Ocean Grabbing"
As actions in relation to The WG proposed to launch a global campaign against ocean grabbing, which address the issues of "Blue Growth" or "Blue Economy" and for real solutions based on progressive steps towards aquatic reforms.
And launch an education programme among the constituencies of WFFP & beyond on the "Food Sovereignty" as one way of address the issues related to Ocean Grabbing - which provide recognition to people control over natural resources they are depending on for their survival.
