National Fisher People's Union formation became final stage

Fisher leaders from all over country gathered to NAFSO today to discuss final formalities of the trade union formation for small scale fisher folk.
The Trincomalee fisheries boat owner agreed to be the employer of the crew members to register the trade union which was one of the bottle neck of the registration.

The official form was presented by Nalaka Rosairo, the policy studies coordinator the formal official registration form of the trade union.
"The possibility of registering the trade union this time much higher than earlier" said Francis Costa, the training officer of NAFSO.
Because, we had difficulties to get the registration of the trade union last time as the officiala decline the registration claiming we did not have a employer, added Costa in his explanation at the session.
