Injunction order against People's Action in Paanama land occupation

Paanama People had decided to occupy their own land tomorrow [28th November] as the Cabinet decision on 11 February 2015 was not respected by the divisional secretary of Lahugala to return the land back to the owners of the lands. Instead, today there was a letter handed over to P. Somasiri by police mentioning the people's action has been banned by magistrate/ district court Pothuwil. This shows how the government and the authorities are behaving and their hypocracy over people's issues. At the same time, there is an invitation to Rev. Paanama Chandrarathana thero, who is the chairperson of Paanam Paththuwa Protection Organization[PPPO] to attend a meeting convened by the Ampara district secretary on 30th November at District secretariat at Ampara.
