The Children's day program launched at Jaffna with the participation of hundreds of men and mostly women. This is also in connection with the Children day program organized by National Women Federation as an island wide campaign.
S. Inbanayagam, the coordinator of Jaffna district organized the protest with the Jaffna women federation.
"We need to ensure the protection of girl children and women from all sort of violence. They need to provide the basic facilities for their survival. The research report we produced on IDP/WHF has very clearly shows how we need to intervene for ensure their future."
We are connecting north and south bridging the gaps through women federation activities.
