The national farmers day rally was organized at Wellawaya today. Hundreds of Peasants attended the rally in which majority are women.
K. P. Somalatha, the leader of Uva Wellassa Women Organization welcome the participants including several politicians, farmers and agricultural workers, inland fishers and women.
At the meeting several research findings were handed over to the political leadership attended the event including Minister Haren Fernando, MP Kumarasiri and several provincial councilors.
