Mannar Women Federation organized Children Day program at Mannar

The National Women Federation launched islandwide campaign againt child abuse and violence against women. 
Paralel to this Mannar district women federation has also organized child day program today in Mannar town in collaboration with hundreds of women, children, priests and nuns.
At the media briefing Mary Priyantha of Mannar district fishe were oppressed ries solidarity said, "we are oppressed in many ways. Our children by war last 3 decades. Our women became widows. We can not move like this any further. We will be united and fight for build our future."

Benedict Croos, the coordinator of the organization said "we are strong in one uniting north and south together today for a common cause. We will fight till we win."
The group who gathered for the event marched to the Mannar district secretariat and handed over a petetion to the district secretary.
