The Northern Province Fisher People's Unity which consist of district fisher federations in 4 northern districts of Mannar, Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Mulaitivu have been drafted a fisheries development plan for northern province fisheries sector development.
The NPFPU launched a long process of bottom up development process to develop the fisheries development plan.
The development plan prepared by the northern province fisher people's unity has been presented to the Parliamentarians today at Arunthathy hotel at Vavunia today.
There were 6 parliamentarians and 5 provincial councilors attended the event which is a strength and encouragement for the fishing communities.
The development plan which was presented today will be discussed and incorporated to the development process of northern province.
