PKMT-Pakistan, TNWF- India, NAFSO- Sri Lanka, SADIA-Malaysia and KMP-Philippines agreed to conduct effective documentation and advocacy with domestic Human Rights Processes then move up to the UNHRC level to advocate the rights.
There will be weeks long campaign during the month of October begining from 1st October through 16 October the world hunger day.
In Sri Lanka PARL lead by NAFSO and MONLAR will conduct a mass based protest in Colombo in Sri Lanka demanding the grabbed land back with almost all the land rights violated communities.
The collective work of all the land rights campaign organizations will meet special rapporteurs on Right to Food, SR on extreme poverty and human rights as well as SR on Indigenous Peoples and Working Group of HR and TNCs and other business enterprises to get the attention on among some of the available SRs for our dialogue.
Most importantly the campaigners in respective countries to exhaust all possible domestic processes before we go to the international HR processes.
The international human rights day will be one common day for us to have region wide human rights campaign as agreed by all. We expect to collective Asia wide effective campaign as agreed.
