At the second day of our meeting with Internally Displaced People, the war survivors in Jaffna peninsula We are hear in Pillayar welfare camp today.
We met Ms. Dushyanthanie 35 years old with 4 children who were originally from Mylitty south, Thellipilai shared her grievances in camp life.

(37 Y) who was very young when they faced the war and now find day today income through temporary labor work with 15,000 LKR average income.
Venuka,(10Y) second daughter in the family studying in grade 5 in Mallakam junior school who is one of the most active young girls I observed so far in my visit to 4 IDP's welfare camps in Thellipillai area.
She cleaned her home, mop the floor with water, wipe the floor with cloth, kept her younger sister who was a heart patient and take care her safely there. Then put water on the sand as it is the time getting hot due to hot sun.
I am surprized to see her active engagement of her family life struggle within few minutes of our visit to Venuka's home. How active she was and how Venuka bear the burden of the family.
How many more Venuka's have undergone these difficulties and faded away their futures in the 30 years of brutal war? Why after 6 years Venuka and hundreds of thousands of children to allow to face this brutality.?
