The policy advocacy team organized a 4 day teaining on VGSSF. The VGSSF is an important policy document for the sustenance of small scale fisher communities. NAFSO expect to use this international instrument as a tool to ensure the rights of small scale fisher communities. Importantly the civil society organizations engage in negotiation process promited fishers rights as human rights and government rspresentatives agreed to that proposition at the end.
NAFSO has planned to draft a hand book on VGSSF which could be used by the communities in their struggles to assert their rights.
