The much debated China Port city project in Colombo is now on hold after elected the new government in January.
However the proposal for the construction of Port City is still open and PM Ranil Wickramasinghe says "there will be a fresh EIA conduct and based on the recommendation of the new EIA Govt will decide whether totally stop the project, half construct it or fully construct as planned."
However, People's movement for anti port city campaign lead by TISL conducted a Peoples tribunal on Port City. The report was launched today in Munnakkara, Negombo in collaboration between Janawabodaya and TISL.
