NAFSO conducted a Good Governance and Leadership training program at Ampara on Saturday. Valarpirai womens organization organized the program which attended more than 40 women representatives from the village committees.
"Women have to play a decisive role in good governance program of the country. They need to intervene all the aspects of governance processes. We train our women leaders to critical engagements in every aspects of governance." Says Lavena Hasanthi the women coordinator of NAFSO.
This is not easy task as most of our women are excluded from main stream policy making process. Through building organizations like Valarpirai, we bring women in to united body for voice out their rights for dignity and decent life as women.
