Where is Sombath? the Laos HRD

Yesterday, 17th December we were in a protest, in front of UN office in Colombo to hand over a petition to UN office. We wanted to register our deep concern and protest against the Laos government for the disappearance of Sombath, the Human Rights Defender, Ramon Magsasay winner, for 2 years.
On 15th December 2012, Sombath has been abducted and being hidden some where by Laos authorities. The CCTV cameras have clear evidences of the abductions by the military. The organization of families of disappearances organized a silent protest in front of UN office Colombo and handed over a petition to UN office to deliver the petition

to Laos government.
