"This is one of the worst act to change the policies of the government to take the rights of people and hand over them to the MNCs." Says Chinthaka Rajapakse, the convener of MONLAR at the WS of CSOs in the Eastern province.
In relation to the debate of water management "All the world wars in the past began with the competition of Oil. But the next world wars, if there is any will be based on Water. Says Chinthaka. He explained all 4 important policy reports came out during 2014 so far in relation to Water management.
* Conservation of water sources policy
* World Bank loan Climate change mitigation and reservoir management and development
* Regulation of community water supply project for national water supply department

Above 4 are the main govt policy decisions so far.
