It is really an excitement to meet my batch mate Lal Muthuwatta who is working in IWMI after 1990 today at the WS organized by IUCN.
Muthuwatta was a person who had leftist background during our time at Peradeniya and represented our batch at the JVP lead action committee. He resigned from Acction Committee due to the clashes between his ideology and dominated political ideology at the action commitee in 1987. Then I had to replace him at the AC and to represented the batch.
Muthuwatta came as a resource person to the work shop for an input of the theme of "measuring spatial and temporal trends for management"
I am humbly proud of Muthuwaththa as his ideologies are still remains people centered and with the humanistic approach for present crises in the country.
