We are oppressed under present regime in the northern province. This is the message the participants delivered from the begining up to now at the work shop at Mannar today.
When Jesudasan began his input the group heated up and shared their anger against the State. They emphasized they are not against the government but against the State.
Land grabbing in the north is different to southern areas. Southern it is for development purposes. But in the north it is to oppress and displace ethnic minorities. However we can not deny the importance of mediation of judiciary system.
Eventhough we get 95 percent judgements against us, we need to get involve in the legal processes further, say the participants at the work shop. This is a controversial and highly debated today.
