Interactions between farmers, fishers, pastoralists and IFAD high management and governing body began as the Farmers Forum in Rome this week.
The small scale food producers come together discuss unitedly and negotiate with IFAD, a UN body which aiming at reduce hunger and rural poverty in the world.
The main focus this year would be the Pastoralists, the herders who provide milk and meet and products to feed the world. At the opening session Mr. Nwagi Kananze the IFAD President was shared his appreciaton of the success of FAFO during past 10 years as a successful body for intract between IFAD and Farmers organizations around the globe.
At the opening session Herman appreciated the vision and commitment of the IFAD to bring farmers organizations together and to form a discussion platform.
Also he was concern the continuation of FAFO as present President's term is over by end of this year.
