After 7 residential workshops, field work, exchanges and networking programs the Core Value training program has concluded with certificate award ceremony today. All the Core Value trainees attended the session and received graduation certificate at the ceremony.
Dr. Arjuna Parakrama, the main facilitator of the Core Value training in his final speech said, "You are now the leaders of this society and not the future leaders any more. I have three main points to tell you but keep in mind this is the begining of a long journey and you need to go forward".
* we should have the vision to engage in long term social change process while attending day today activities we face in our work.
* it is not the macro analysis alone important to act. You need to act based on the micro analysis too. Globalization is not the only issue.
* you can not say we can not do anything in our organizations. We can not apply the learning in our places. It is our challenge to do and prove we can do.
Sahan Isanka of SFO-Matara, Deepa Subashinie of Sri Vimukthi Fisher Women Organization and Antony Jesudasan of NAFSO secretariat joined the Core Value training program from NAFSO.
We, the NAFSO as an organization expect the new leaders take the leadership in our organization to lead us in right direction.
