We are in Solidarity with CSOs in the country say religious leaders

Religious leaders joined with the CSOs at Fort railway station today against the NGO circular issued on 1st July by NGO secretariat. There were more than 30 nuns, priests joined hand in hand in solidarity with the CSOs.
Sr. Deepa Fernando(HF) said, "We know the important role play the NGOs in the country. They do very dicisive role among marginalized and vulnerable groups. While restricting the CSOs work, authorities are trying to silence those people whom need the support from the society."

"The NGOs have their own mandate to run the institutions. Their main role is to empower people to overcome the oppressions they face. We need not to allow anyone to undermine this role" said Fr. Ashoka the director of CSR.
This was one of the successful gathering we had today at Fort.
