NAFSO Convened it's 17th annual general meeting yesterday at Negombo. 70 representatives from 17 organizations attended the AGM.
Organization coordinators presented their progress reports with their achievements.
The admin secretary presented the organization annual report with achievements and challenges. Accountant of NAFSO presented the annual audit report. Both the reports were adopted as a formality.
The proposed actions in the strategic agenda prepared through the facilitation of SPICE was presented by the policy advocacy coordinator.
The draft of the trade union constitution was presented by the training coordinator. The new office bearers were elected for new year. 2 male chair from Batticoloa and Polonnaruwa and 1 female chair from Sri Vimukthi organization were elected.
The 2 national leaders of Kosma Titus,
S. Thaveratnem and the founder of WFFP Thomas Kocherry were commemorated who were passed away this year.
The convener of NAFSO invited to the national representatives to take part the proposed programs as this is a plan for all of us.
The national committee will meet again on 7th August.
