Paanama people's land struggle is well known island wide. The determonation of the people to get their land back created headache to the politicians and officials. Number of politicians from Pradesheeya saba to ministerial levels were exposed at the land struggle.
We as NAFSO expect to educate people through land rights awareness programs for Ragamwela, Sathrawela and Egodayaya communities who are frontliners of the struggle.
The first workshop out of the three was conducted with the help of Susari Sevana the legal unit of TISL.
Jagath Liyanarachchi the lawyer who engaged in the campaign facilitated the first WS at Ragamwela.
