Destruction of Coastal Eco Systems due to Commando 4x4 Expedition!

Raveendra Kariyawasam of Environmental Studies Center has circulated a message about the coastal eco system destruction around 775 Km in the eastern coastal area due to the Commandos 4x4 expedition organized along the coast.

The highly sensitive, fragile eco systems will be in danger if the proposed Motor cross across the coast would be launched.
Environmentalists, civil society organizations, concern academia and fisher communities are seriously concern about the situation and urge not to implement this project which devastate the coastal ecosystems in the east coast which destroyed once from war and again from tsunami in 2004.
