The Nesakkaran Citizen Committee in Mannar had organized the importance of Right to Importance Act for Citizens in the country.
There is a dialogue on the right to information during the Presidential election held last January in Sri Lanka. However, though there is a serious dialogue on both the 19h and 20th amendments, there was no such serious dialogue on the Right to Information act.
So, NAFSO expected to launch of series of dialogues on R2I act and press the government to enact the R2I act soon.
Benedict Croos, the Mannar district coordinator of NAFSO said, "We all realized the importance of the R2I act for our lives. If we can have a R2I which is strong as Indian act will be a greater advantage of Sri Lankan Citizens. We need to learn further. "
The learning process is on and continue on R2I.
