The historic victory on the struggle against Sea Plane project was shared at the APC/PANAP WS today at JK.
The commitment and bravery of Negombo people, the Sri Vimukthi Women in particular were highlighted as the remembrance of the victorious story and successful experience.
The ws on lessons and experience on People's Resistance against land grabbing and foreshore land grabbing was focussed the struggles of Sarawak Malaysia, the Hyecinda Lucita at Philippines, land struggle against plantations of South Sulawesi in Indonesia, railway and university projects at Manipur, India and sea plane struggle at Negombo lagoon in Sri Lanka.
Some of our comrades have used the legal means as strategy and some used both mass struggles and legal cases as their ways and means of the struggles.
The importance is there are countries with reactionary governments which deny the rights of the communities while some countries still trust the rule of law in the countries.
