Historical Day on Constitutional Change! Pass 19th Amendment at Parliament today says Citizens Groups

There is a big danger to defeat the proposed 19th amendment at the Parliament with out having 2/3rd majority. Those who raised their hands for centralize the power in to executive President's hand with adopting 18th amendment to the SL constitution is not supporting to trim the powers of the president with supporting to the 19th amendment proposed as a long debate even more than 3 decades since 1978. This is a historic day and we join as Civil Society to press all people's representatives to support the 19th amendment to adopt at the Parliament.
