The research on tourism and HR in Kalpitiya, Passikudah and Nilaweli tourism sites was conducted by STP - Swiss based NGO and NAFSO last year. The research has highlighted how the human rights are being violated through land grabbing, oppression, violation of basic rights of the communities etc. etc.
The research report was launched at Zurich among the Swiss and German tour operators. There was a serious discussion conducted though there was eye opening session at the end.
Angella Mattli of STP, Christina Pluss of Tourism Watch and me presented the research findings at the session.
