REINCORPFISH ANNUAL DIALOGUE BEGAN

The Reincorpfish team is conducting it's annual planning meeting this week at Struisbaai in Cape Town in South Africa. Indians, Netherlands, South African and Srl Lankan member organizations attended the meeting with much hopes for collaboration to find solutions in Palk Bay Indian trawl issue in South Asia and Small Scale Fisheries policy implementation in South Africa.
There are many expectations emerged with the newly elected government of Sri Lanka as there is space opened up for northern Sri Lankan people. The experience of northern people opened up their mouth and articulate the issues to address.
Now the team need to come up with new strategies and plans to address those oppressed people's grievances without further delay and advocate those with the relevant authorities.

It is important fact that the fisheries organizations including Northern Province Fisher People's Unity (NPFPU) should be united further and intervene more actively for practical and policy dialogues. NAFSO is attempting to Strengthening the NPFPU and to organize People to people dialogue between Southern and northern Sri Lankan groups as well as the Tamil Nadu and Sri Lankan fishers.
