Yarl Devi intercity train reached Jaffna today after 24 years which was inaugurated by President Mahinda Rajapakse. The Jaffna railway station was also opened today with the great support of Indian government.
Mr. Sinha the Indian HC, however shared his unpleasantness about the way GOSL treat his government.
" We provide assistance to develop the north but the recognition of our involvement is not satisfactory." Mr. Sinha openly shared his views in an open meeting recently. The SL benefits from Indian assistance to develop railway lines in the north, 50,000 housing schemes are some of well known assistance. The railway line up to Thalaimannar also another assistance from India.
While providing infra structure facilities, there are lot more to filfill as LLRC recommended and as GOSL promised to the world at UN HRC.
