CAFOD, the UK based Catholic Development agency launched a Budget Monitoring Introductory workshop for 4 organizations of Sri Lanka, which included Law & Society Trust[LST], Center for Society & Religion [CSR], Uva Community Development Center[UCDC] and NAFSO.
There will be a programme to implement to Budget Monitoring Pilot Project in which 4 organizations engage in different geographical areas and sectors with the capacities of the organizations. NAFSO activists also engaged the work with the intention to empower the fisher folk communities using budget monitoring as a tool of empowerment of people.
At the end of the 3 day WS, there will be a proposal in which each organization involve with their capacities as well as network with others for having a national impact over the work.
