The Open Forum for CSO Development Effectiveness

We attended the WS on above theme which organized by Green Movement of SL today. There are number of organizations represent the WS including North and the East of the country.
The main work we attended today to assess the capacities of the organizations and their weaknesses and challenges to perform their work. This was a good exercise to evaluate our own situations where most of the participants did not want to open up to the level we expected.
The WS will be conducted till 2nd September and will include 4 group workshops with the same group we started today.
In our group there were number of veteran NGO representatives including Sarvodaya, Rural Women Front, Human Rights activists, Fisheries Cooperative Societies Federation etc etc.
The Paris declaration and Aid effectiveness, Development cooperation, ACCRA agenda for action are some of the key areas we want to learn together with the concepts and the process of Open Forum for Development effectiveness.
