When do we Learn Lessons as Citizen of SL? Another killing of a civilian at Trincomalee

Today, early morning I got a disturbing message from my colleague Nalaka Rosairo mentioning some incident at Trincomalee.
I called Ananda Peiris, our comrade working at Trincomalle to get the first hand information about the incident.
There was a illegal assault and eventually a killing of a civil security person at Cod bay by Navy, according to Ananda. This has happened day before yesterday and people and the fishers in the area were under serious tension as the funeral will take place today.
The Navy was transferred from the area after people's protest and replaced Police and Air Force by the authorities.
"We do not know what is this happening to our people. We did our best to support to eliminate terrorism to the military. But, today, they are killing us, innocent civilians. What is this and I can't understand all these? " Said one person who did not want to disclose his name.

I spoke to Nimalka Fernando, who is co-convener of Platform for Freedom after my text messages were circulated. Her question was "Is this a Tamil person killed?"
I can imagine why she asked this question.
If this was a Tamil person, it is easily justifiable and say, Navy has attempted to eliminate another terrorist suspects.
So, now it is bit difficult and need a proper inquiry to disclose the reality that took place at Cod Bay at the moment of killing.

Will there be a justice to the family of the victim.
I want to meet the family members and see what has happened there.
What a country are we living today?
