It is a man made natural calamity in Sri Lanka?

Destruction due to rain, floods, Land Slides are immense. Heart breaking and difficult to explain in words.
Though it is the people's life ans not a number game, the information receiving is diverse from diverse sources.
By Friday evening the reported numbers are varied though we think these numbers could  be double the actual. Media reported 63 deaths 420,097 affected by floods & landslides out of which 299,806 displaced.
Though the reported number of missing persons due to Aranayaka landslide 144, my friend Prasad, the BBC Journalist told me personally the number of missing would be above 250.
This is a real shock to the nation though the whole country mobilised to assist the fellow citizens affected by floods. However, the response from government is slow though the President Maithripala had increased the amount allocated per person for relief assistance.
Once we visited to welfare camp at Neela Bamma primary school, the situation was heart breaking as more than 250 families are waiting to receive some assistance. People are receiving some cooked food and stay there.
Several number of houses are totally destroyed while some houses destroyed their goods and nothing left in side houses.
School children were crying as their books were totally destroyed and no single uniform left for going to school.
Rev. Bandiwewe Diyasena together with NAFSO visitsd the Neela Bamma community devastated due to floods of Kala Oya and open 20 Sluice gates upto 10' in Rajangana tank.
