"We need support to sustain our resources" says Vembady fishers

Vembady village is situated in Maradankerni DS division. There are
7500 fishermen and 4000 agriculture farmers and chena cultivators are living there.
There are serious transport issues to reach village hence no teachers in the school. So there is Education issues for children. 

One of the issue is Southern fisher migration to Chundikulam  and use dynamite, light purae seine and all types of destructive fishing activities and Police support them.
Chundikulam, Salai of Mulaitivu fishers are suffering from Indian trawlers which is common to Northern province.

Beach seine fishing use tractors to pull their nets. Use the villagers against the locals fisheries societies.
10-15 beach seine huts belong to southern groups.
When questioned they accus the local leaders as racists.
Police chase the leaders who questioned the southern fishers invasion.
75 families still to resettle in the area.
Wild Lufe dept office has started temporarily and claim abandoned lands belong to wild life department.
Farmers can not go to the area.
Sand can not be taken by people. When challenge the police threatened to the  saying putting tbem in jail for 3 months.
The Chundikulam is the area where people go for fishing.
