A woman, who want to be anonymous was living next to the Thalsevana Tourist Resort at present saud she is still living in Needawana Camp and no idea when to return their place of origin as the military is occupied their land and the house been destroyed.
"I was lived in KKS next to Thalsevana Hotel at present. I was displaced in 1990 and am now living in Needawan IDP camp in Mallakam in Jaffna. Although there are so many IDPs are retuning to their places of origin, we do not have even any idea when our land will be given and we are returning to our place of origin."
Most of the people who lived in Palali, Urani, KKS, Keeramalai, Myliddy majority are fishers are still living as IDPs due to war since 1990. The number of families are around 10,000 which more than 30,000 in number. Also, there are number of anchorage points and KKS and Myliddy harbours situated in the area.
Once we attempted to study the situation in the area during the previous regime, every one was scared to provide any information. But, at present within Good Governance Government, we observed and experienced both in the field and the in side, the people are articulate than earlier.
They were very enthusiastically joined the dialogue and came up with the many areas which were hidden otherwise.
The researcher of the STP and also a citizen of Sri Lanka, Yves Bowie, shared his views saying,"It is beyond my our expectations to receive the responses to the report. I now realized what a tension and oppression those people undergone during the time of previous regime. Once I came to SL last time, people in the KKS area did not open their mouth. But, they are highly articulate and expressed their views very

strongly which we appreciate and and encouraged. We like to find ways and means to address the issues as indicated in it. There should be a dialogue among all the concerned parties and we would like to facilitate it through NAFSO." said Bowie at the session.
