What is our future in Uva in this development?

Uma oya project, Kirindi oya project, Handapanagala tank enhancement project, Kuda oya development project, Ohiya tourism project, Soragune project are some of the immediate deveopment programs in Uva province. How all these
Programs would help the future of Uva people?
When we see one project of Kirindi oya and the responses of the people it is very clear there are more than 3000 families with more than 12,000 households in 39 villages with number of temples will be submerged due to this project.
Rev. Indrasagara thero whom we met at the temple today explained how he engaged in the agitation and how the authorities including police responded when they raised their voice against it. On 2nd June people came to street and conducted the protest and there were thouaands people agitated againat the Kirindi oya project.
The police arrested 27 agitators and produced at the courts including 2 buddhist monks and the court case continues. The second hearings will be held on 17th July. 
So this is the reality in Uva. But, What is the response of the people in Uva today? People see the necessity of change in the present system. There are leaders who are emerging from the communities and need to bring them together.
