Jayathilake Bandara: He is with the Civil Society activism all the time against injustice, demanding rule of law, democracy, rights of ethnic minorities, against war.
Sadhu Jana Rawaya was one of the major artistic contributions of Jayathilake to the Sri Lankan society highlighting the brutality of war, disappearances, killings, and sufferings of the people.
Now, he is joining with civil society to emphasis the importance of implementation of LLRC recommendations to prevent the external pressure on Sri Lanka coming from Geneva and else where.
Past few years we experiences, extra judiciary killings, harassments of political opponents and also human rights defenders and their work, disappearances, deteriorating democratic values, no space for dissent, disturbances to independent judiciary system and many more.
After Sadhu Jana Ravaya, Jaye has launched innovative artistic sandhawaniya "Biyen Ath Midemu" - "Free from the Fear" challenging present oppression of the regime.
Jaye, you are strength to people's struggle.
We are proud of you being a part of us.
Herman
