Are You Ready for the fight?

Lasantha Wickramathinge, Prominent Editor of Sunday Leader news paper was assassinated on 8th January 2009. Keheliya Rambukwella, media minister said on 28th January 2009 that President Mahinda Rajapkse knows the responsible culprit for the henius crime. With out any surprise, it was clear that there will not be any proper, acceptable legal procedures to the killing after 5 years gone. Again, Lasantha Wickramathunge's elder brother said to BBC yesterday that President had told him that the culprit of the assassination is General Sarath Fonseka. Once he asked why not arrest the culprit as he knows them well, there was no proper answer for the questions. These points were came out today, when the Force for Unity organize Lasantha Commemoration today at the same venue of the assassination at Aththidiya primary school/ Hundreds of people attended the Candle lighting vigil at Aththidiya. There were number of politicians including opposition party MPs, non parliamentarians, religious leaders, civil activists, media leaders, Lasantha's family members and more. The importance is that, Brito Fernando assured that we have determined to continue this struggle till all people receive justice in the country. Nimalka Fernando, on behalf of women's in the Force for Unity, said this is just a begining of the struggles to liberate all citizens in the country. I am happy to see the enthusiasm of the crowd attended the sessions held at Aththidiya Rathmalana today. Lasantha, you created the road, Let us see that every one work towards one goal. Herman
