People's Academy : For Unity, Solidarity and People's Action

People living in the plantations are one of the most marginalized communities in the country. They have been working in the plantations more than 2 centuries and contributed SL national economy in the highest scale in the past.
But, the level of education, health, housing, infra structure facilities are one of the poorest among poor in the country.
Praja Abilasha People's Land Coalition in the country expected to uplift the level of education among the people in the plantations through getting them together in to the People's Academy. Building solidarity among the communities and strengthen through knowledge and skills is one of the main objectives of the work.
So, NAFSO convener was attended the opening of the People's Academy at Thalawakele Estate at Thalawakele on the 30th Sunday.
Some 12 children were enrolled to study computer and will be increased in the future.
Francis Raajan, the coordinator of Praja Abilasha Land Coalition worked hard to make this work a success with commitment.
