War Victims: Do the people in the world help us to restore their Lives?

One year is gone after war, though the lives of the war affected people are coming back to normalcy with out satisfactorily. As far as official report says, there are around 83,000 families are still living in the camps with out any resettlement.
They do not have a place to go. Some of them say, we do not have any kind of income and also security of the life and we are scared to go back to the places where we originally lived.
Our homes are destroyed and we can not aford to build up our houses with the 25,000 rupees and the 10 tin sheets provided by the government. Unfortunately, this week Ravaya news paper[11th April]reported quoting UNHCR officials that this 25,000 will also not be provided as there is no money available for the resettlement scheme.

So, the situation is much alrming as the people are still do not have any hope to get back their homes and they are under tension with children, with their health, education, sanitary facilities as human beings.

We, who are living in the south do not expose to this situation and enjoy with the propaganda of Spring to the North [Uthurata Vasanthaya] and also the Awakening the East [Nagenahira Udanaya] programs highly voiced out by government media and the officials together with Politicians.

But, when do we as Southern Citizens think realistically as the people in North and East as equal citizens of Sri Lanka. The following news item is also some sort of evidence that we need to pay more attention to the issues and life struggles of the people who were affected by war.
