Forces are getting together for General Election 2015

It seems the teams are linning up for the General Election 2015 which will be held on 17 August.
At the beginning it looks like among three major coalitions. UNP lead group, SLFP Maitri group and UPFA Lead by Mahinda Rajapakse. After several attempts of Mahinda lead UPFA group was able to forcefully convinced the President and got his consent to run election with joint UPFA & SLFP group including defeated Mahinda Rajapakse.
The Civil Society was totally against this decision as corrupted goons are trying to pass Diyawannawa and enter into the parliament.
Rev. Maduluwawe Sobitha thero who lead the Covil Society ideology said in a meeting, "We all expected non party politician in the Presidetial elections. When Maitripala Sirisena says he want to save the party. But 6.2 millions who voted to him expected to save whole country. Not the party. This is totally unacceptable and biggest betray in the SL history."

In the same meeting Prof. Sarath Wijesuriya a prominent scholar said, "Maitri gave the leadership when the united forces made the field him to come and take the steering wheel. But drive towards a better future of the nation and not to drive to the hell."

Now the forces are getting together and two major opponents are clear. The UPFA lead by Mahinda Rajapakse and United National Front for Good Governance lead by Ranil Wickramasinghe.
President Maitripala Sirisena should take a neutral position and not to take any side.
The United National Front for Good Governance consist of several minority parties, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, Reshak Baddudins party, National Democratic Front(Mano Ganeshan), from plantation sector Digambaran's party, Jathika Hela Urumaya, SLFP Fraction lead by Rajitha Senaratne. The major party in the UPFGG is UNP in which Presidtent Matripala Sirisena won the election from the UNP votes. This development is raising hopes of the people who rejected the authoritarian, corrupted and oppressive regime of Mahinda Rajapakse on 08th January 2015.
In a national convention at Colombo the UNP has decided to form the New coalition of UNFGG and allow those candidates to run under the symbol of elephant which is the symbol of UNP.
