There are 10 common issues identified from the 4 district reports which are as follows;

* Conservationary measures
* Social development
* Education, Skiĺl development and animation work
* Rehabilitation of war affected communities
* Safety at sea measures
* Infra structure facilities for fishing communities
Group agreed to focus attention on the proposed bridge connecting between Rameshwaram, TN and Thalai Mannar Sr Lanka.
The issue of Indian trawling was discussed and agreed that Navy should mediate to prevent Indian trawlers cross the Sri Lankan boarder while arresting and direct them for possible legal action/s under immigration act.
Group will plan the final development plan and early July or mid July submit to CM of northern province, relevant ministers of the province as well as PM or central govt political leadership eventually.
The current General Election we do hope to use as a leverage to ensure the implementation of the plan.
