Fulfill ELection Promises: STOP COLOMBO PORT CITY

Before come in to power, the present government when they are in the opposition, opposed the Colombo Port City, which is Chinese and Sri Lankan government joint project.
There will be 500 acres of land to reclaim from the Sea.
This will be a serious threat to the coastal communities who are living in north of Colombo.
The Sea erosion would be seriously wipe out the coasts and also Negombo Lagoon will be in danger.
After elect in to power, the present government says now they will study the harm and will decide whether they continue the project or not.
The concern citizens, civil society organizations, trade unions, religious and many more will join for the education campaign against the government decision.
Some of the Media launched a campaign across the country, for publicize and get the support from the people. They call it "RAN BOOMI PROGRAM" which is anti people campaign.

The Anti Port City Campaign and Center for Conscientization will launch an education program from Porutota, Sea Street, Negombo, Pitipana, Basiyawatta, Thalahena, Seththapaduwa 
 Pamunugama, Dickowita area.
